Bylaws of The Christian Riders Of
Pineville (CROP)

ARTICLE I - MISSION
The Christian Riders Of Pineville is a
service organization committed to Our
Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and to the
spiritual needs of our fellow
motorcyclists. We are a group of
Christians who enjoy motorcycling. The
Christian Bike Riders Of Pineville will
endeavor to assist its members to
fulfill the preaching of the Gospel to
spread the "Good News."
ARTICLE 2 – OFFICE **
The principle office of "CROP" shall be
at P.O. Box 4650, Pineville, Louisiana,
71361.
The church, in which the meetings are
held, shall have no direct authority in
or over the organization. The role of
the church shall be to encourage the
ministry, provide spiritual leadership,
and provide a meeting space without cost
to the membership.
ARTICLE 3 - PRELUDE TO MEMBERSHIP
1.
We declare Jesus Christ as the Head of
our organization, the Holy Spirit as our
power and the Word of God as our guide.
The Christian Riders Of Pineville is
open to all Christians regardless of
sex, race, creed or denomination
provided the applicant believes:

Jesus’ vicarious death on the cross was

Jesus was bodily resurrected on the
third day and now sits at the right hand
of God making intercession for
believers. 1st Peter 2:23
7.
Jesus will come again in the future for
His church. 1st Thessalonians 4:16-17
8.
Jesus is the only name under Heaven
given among men by which we must be
saved. Acts 4:12
ARTICLE 4 - MEMBERSHIP
1.
FULL MEMBERSHIP
A.
Members need not own or ride a
motorcycle to be a member. Members
should have an interest in CROP, its
purpose, and sport motorcycling. All
brands of motorcycles are welcome.
B.
To become a member you must first
qualify for membership: ** ***
i.
Be an Associate/Prospect member in good
standing and must apply for full
membership.
ii.
Must attend a minimum of three meetings
and two club rides in a five month
period.
a.
If Associate/Prospect member
cannot attend the required meetings due
to documented work issues then he/she
has to have ridden/served the club for
over a sixth month period.
iii.
A vote will then be held when the
qualifications have been met.
iv.
Pay member club dues.
C.
A member may participate in all club
functions.
D.
A member has the right to vote on any
club issue at any meeting where a vote
has been called.
E.
Only full CROP members can hold offices.
F.
Each member must hold harmless the
meeting church for any activity
associated with the CROP.
2.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP (Wives or others
living in the same household as a full
member) **
A.
An associate member is one that
qualifies for membership and has paid
the associate member club dues.
B.
An associate member can participate in
all club events.
C.
An associate member is welcome to any
club meetings but cannot vote on any
issues.
D.
Associate members may not be nominated
nor may they hold an office in the CROP
E.
Associate member must meet the
requirements of a “Full Membership”
section B in order to apply for full
member standing in CROP.
F.
Spouse of a CROP Full member may wear
the patch if they are in good standing
as an associate member. **
3.
PROSPECT MEMBERSHIP **
A.
A prospect member is one that qualifies
for membership and has paid the prospect
member club dues.
B.
A prospect member can participate in all
club events.
C.
A prospect member is welcome to any club
meetings but cannot vote on any issues.
D.
Prospect members may not be nominated
nor may they hold an office in the CROP
F.
Prospect member must meet the
requirements of a “Full Membership”
section B in order to apply for full
member standing in CROP.
4.
MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS
A.
CROP will hold at least one meeting
monthly. Meeting to be held on the 1st
Monday of each month. Members of less
than four attending will not constitute
a quorum.
5.
SPECIAL MEETINGS.
A.
The Crop Board of Directors may call
special meetings. The board shall cause
a notice of such meeting to be phone
called, e-mailed, or postal mailed to
all members to their addresses as they
appear in the membership roll book at
least ten days before the scheduled date
of such meeting. Such notice shall state
the date, time, place and purpose of the
meeting and by whom called.
B.
No other business but that specified in
the notice may be transacted at such
special meeting without the consent of
the Board of Directors present at such
meeting.
6.
MEMBERSHIP DUES.
A.
The membership dues cover the right to
use the advantages that the club
provides its members.
B.
Full Membership dues are $20.00 per year
payable when a member joins the club,
payable annually.
C.
Associate Membership (others living in
the same household as a full member)
dues are $5 per year payable when a
member joins the club, payable annually.
D.
Prospect Membership dues are $5 per year
payable when a member joins the club,
payable annually.
E.
Dues are payable each year in January.
ARTICLE 5 — PURPOSE
The purposes for which CROP has been
organized are as follows:
1.
The Christian Riders Of Pineville is an
organization tending to the spiritual
needs of motorcyclists.
2.
There are a lot of Christian
motorcyclists around the world who would
like to be able to do things with other
Christian motorcyclists. There are all
kinds of motorcycle events that we can
participate in as spectators or as
participants, sharing the Good News of
Jesus Christ.
3.
The CROP promotes fellowship and
evangelism between motorcyclists,
whether members of CROP or not.
4.
The CROP members will strive to know its
members, to assist where possible in
life’s struggles, to encourage one
another, and to love one another as
Christ has loved us.
5.
The people gathered in the association
will have the opportunity to talk about
new products, motorcycles, and items of
general interest.
6.
CROP will hold at least one and possibly
more than one annual rally at the local
level where a majority of the membership
can gather in one place.
7.
Each member is, at his/her own risk,
entitled to use the services of CROP for
the purpose of meeting other
motorcyclists and share the passion of
being on two wheels in service to Jesus
Christ.
8.
Engage in religious activities,
community charities, actions,
gatherings, including, but not limited
to, social programs designed to promote
motorcycling, motorcycle riding safety,
promotion of the image of the
motorcyclist.
ARTICLE 6- OFFICES
1.
OFFICES, ELECTION, TERM, AND
QUALIFICATIONS.
A.
All
officers shall be elected or appointed
to hold office. Each officer shall hold
office for the term of one year for
which he/she is elected or appointed and
until his/her successor has been elected
and/or appointed and qualified. No
compensation is due any board member.
B.
Special
event chairpersons serve at the pleasure
of the Board of Directors and may be
removed at any time for any purpose by a
majority vote of the Board.
C.
Only
Full members may hold an office.
D.
Elections
to be held each January. Nominations to
be forwarded to the membership not later
than first scheduled meeting in
December. A committee may select
nominations during the month of November
each year.
E.
Elections to the Board Of Directors are
held annually during the January
meeting.
2.
REMOVAL, RESIGNATION.
A.
In the event of the death, resignation
or removal of an officer, the board in
its discretion may elect or appoint a
successor to fill the un-expired term.
The removal of a board member may be
required in the event of that officer
missing three (3) regular scheduled
meeting in a row.
B.
Removal of an individual member shall
require the Board Of Directors to
appoint a minimum of two full members to
approach the offending member and ask
for an accounting of the accusations
against him / her. In the event the
circumstances surrounding the member
cannot be resolved, the matter must be
brought before the Board Of Directors
for resolution.
3.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
A.
PRESIDENT
a.
Shall
preside over all meetings of the CROP.
b.
Coordinates
and provides assistance to all offices.
c.
Eligible
to vote, only in the case of a tie.
B.
VICE PRESIDENT
a.
Shall act in the capacity of the
President in the event his/her absence.
C.
TREASURER
a.
Maintain
club checking account.
b.
Shall
maintain an accurate current record of
the club finances.
c.
Provide
regular financial statements for CROP
Board and members
d.
Pay
all legally payable responsibilities on
behalf of CROP at the direction of the
Board of Directors
e.
Collect
all money from dues, merchandise,
advertisers, or other financial
supporters
f.
Reimburse
CROP members for approved club expenses.
g.
Establish
an annual budget for expenses.
D.
CHAPLAIN
a.
Provide
spiritual leadership to the CROP.
b.
Provide
Bible study, prayer support, and oversee
the spiritual needs of the CROP.
c. Lead in Bible Studies at designated
rallies and membership meetings.
E.
ROAD CAPTAIN
a.
The Road Captain is responsible to
establish the ride, design the trip,
stops, and lead all riders in a safe
manner.
b.
Prior
to each ride, the Road Captain shall
brief all riders on the current safety
laws, hand signals to be used, rider
intervals, highways used, appoints the
Drag Captain, and designation of the
ride.
c.
The Lead Road Captain shall be
responsible to the group and minister
discipline, as needed.
F.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES OF ALL BOARD MEMBERS
a.
Provide spiritual, evangelistic, prayer,
and administrative support to CROP.
b.
Lead
by example at all times to all members,
being key representatives of Jesus
Christ on earth.
c.
Be
aware of members physical, emotional,
and spiritual needs communicating the
same as needed to the Board or other
members.
d.
Provide
prayer support for CROP and its members
and its leaders.
e.
Coordinate
national rallies, merchandise,
activities, and other administrative
tasks as assigned by the Board of
Directors.
f.
To make decisions on member expulsions.
g.
Establishing
an annual CROP budget.
h.
Approve
expenditures above budgeted amounts.
i.
To
have general control over all club
affairs.
ARTICLE 7- OTHER CHAPTERS-ORGANIZATIONS
1.
CROP will promote and encourage other
churches and organizations to form
similar organization chapters to broaden
the scope of reaching the unsaved. Some
of the possible joint chapter activities
are as follows:

Joint rides through the countryside.
3.
Weekend trips.
4.
Rides to participate in and/or watch
motorcycle competitions.
5.
Road Rallies.
6.
Charity runs organized by other parties.
7.
Distribution of CROP flyers, Bibles, or
tracts.
8.
Bible Studies.
9.
Just plain old Fellowshipping.
ARTICLE 8- AMENDMENTS
1.
The by-laws may be adopted, amended or
repealed by the board at the annual
meeting or at a special meeting called
to amend the bylaws. Only one special
meeting may be called for in any given
year.
2.
All amendments to these bylaws will be
written in a clear manner. All
amendments will be treated as if they
are a part of the original bylaws draft.
ARTICLE 9- FINANCE
1.
There shall be a checking account in the
name of CROP.
2.
The President, Vice President, and
Treasurer have check signing authority
on the account.
3.
A check shall require two authorized
signatures.
4.
The Treasurer is the owner of the
checking account.
5.
Each time the offices of the President,
Vice President, and/or Treasurer change,
the checking account will be immediately
changed to eliminate the check signature
authority of the previous officers and
to add the signature authority of the
new officers.

The CROP Board of Directors must
approve any revenue generating
activity at the local level. This
includes, but is not limited to,
annual dues, special fund raisers,
charity runs, etc…
